Mechanical Systems Engineer – Humanoid Robots at XPENG

XPENG, a smart technology company, is seeking a Mechanical Systems Engineer to join their Robotics Center in Shenzhen, China. The engineer will be responsible for designing and integrating advanced mechanical systems for humanoid robots, working closely with control systems, electronics, and embedded systems teams. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional mechanical design skills and a comprehensive understanding of control algorithms, embedded systems, and electrical integration.Role involves:

• Leading the design and optimization of humanoid robot's mechanical systems.
• Collaborating with control algorithms, embedded software, and electronics teams.
• Supporting the integration of motion control algorithms.
• Designing mechanical systems for efficient housing and integration of electrical components.
• Utilizing simulation tools to test and validate mechanical designs.
• Engaging in rapid prototyping and iterative design.
• Contributing to a layered design approach.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or Robotics.
• Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, NX).
• In-depth understanding of embedded systems and motion control algorithms.
• Experience with electrical and electronic system integration.
• Strong background in FEA and other simulation tools.
• Proactive problem-solving skills.
