Job Description
XPENG is seeking a Junior Test Engineer to join their team in Munich. The candidate will be responsible for developing E-Drive powertrain and charging interoperability test cases. This role involves working with cutting-edge technology in the EV sector.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop E-Drive powertrain and charging interoperability test cases.
  • Identify and evaluate necessary tools and manage test infrastructure procurement.
  • Plan, execute, and analyze test runs for regression and release testing.
  • Coordinate test activities with internal and external teams.
  • Provide continuous test feedback to stakeholders.
  • Analyze CAN traces to identify root causes of issues.
  • Monitor test progress and create test reports using test metrics.
  • Ensure milestones are met.
Requirements:
  • Successfully completed university degree in an engineering field (computer science, electrical engineering, automotive engineering) or comparable qualification.
  • Previous experience in the field of testing and functionality of e-drive components and systems is an advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of closed-loop controllers, power electronics and electrical motors is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of higher programming languages such as Python or C++ is an advantage.
  • Practical knowledge of different communication busses (CAN/ CAN-FD, LIN, MOST, FlexRay,Ethernet and PLC) and OBD protocols/standards (e.g. J1939, J1979, UDS).
  • Familiarity with various testing tool chains such as Vector, INCA etc.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, an analytical mindset.
  • Preference for working in teams and strong communication skills (English, German).
  • Readiness to travel in Germany and internationally will be expected.
  • Driving license class B.
