Our client, a Remote First company, is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join their team. The company focuses on creating experiences for families worldwide and values diversity and inclusion.
The DevOps Engineer will collaborate within a team of engineers to maintain and scale the company’s internal platforms and systems. They will contribute to scaling the platform to 150 million users through infrastructure maintenance, deployment upgrades, and CI/CD pipeline optimization.
What You'll Do- Collaborate with distributed teams on cloud and DevOps projects.
- Upgrade Kubernetes deployments to the latest version.
- Maintain libraries and operating systems to ensure they are upgraded and current.
- Test and deploy security patches to maintain compliance and system integrity.
- Propose upgrades and updates to ensure system scalability, reliability, and resilience.
- Update CI/CD pipelines to optimize build and deployment times.
- Assist the Test Engineering team in automating service and component validation.
Job Requirements- 3+ years of experience with AWS services (e.g., EC2, EKS, DynamoDB, SQS).
- 3+ years of experience with relational and non-relational databases such as MySQL, Postgres, DynamoDB, MongoDB, Cassandra.
- Proficiency in microservices and horizontally scalable architectures.
- Hands-on experience deploying and maintaining systems with Kubernetes.
- Proficiency with Docker, Prometheus, and Terraform.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Argo, Jenkins, CircleCI, BuildKite).
- Experience with queuing/streaming technologies such as Kafka and NSQ.
- Knowledge of high-scale, low-latency systems.
- Adaptive to working across scripting/programming languages regularly.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with excellent written and verbal communication.
- English proficiency from B1 for effective communication.
