Launchpad, a people-first technology company, is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to join their team. This role involves working closely with the Director of Cloud Engineering & Cybersecurity to design, implement, and optimize security solutions for cloud infrastructure, applications, and sensitive data. The Cybersecurity Engineer will play a crucial role in threat detection, incident response, compliance, and automation, ensuring the security of Launchpad's cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevSecOps processes.
Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing security best practices across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Securing IAM policies, network security groups, encryption standards, and container security (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Implementing zero-trust architectures and cloud-native security controls.
- Monitoring, detecting, and responding to security threats using SIEM tools (Splunk, Datadog, Sentinel, etc.).
- Performing log analysis, threat hunting, and incident investigation.
- Collaborating with security teams to mitigate cyber risks and ensure real-time security monitoring.
- Integrating security best practices into CI/CD pipelines.
- Automating security tasks using Terraform, Ansible, Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Implementing and managing container security tools (OPA, Falco, Aqua, Prisma).
- Conducting vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
- Ensuring compliance with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2, CIS Benchmarks.
- Defining and enforcing security policies and governance models.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud security, or infrastructure security.
- Hands-on experience securing AWS, Azure, or GCP environments.
- Strong knowledge of IAM, firewalls, encryption, network security, and Kubernetes security.
- Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, Python, Bash, or PowerShell for security automation.
- Experience with SIEM solutions, threat intelligence, and incident response.
- Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance (ISO 27001, NIST, SOC 2, CIS, etc.).
- Certifications (nice to have): CISSP, CCSP, AWS/Azure Security, OSCP, CEH.
