Senior Systems Administrator at Launchpad Technologies

Launchpad is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join their team. The candidate will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining mission-critical infrastructure, with a strong focus on Cisco UCS and VMware technologies. The ideal candidate possesses deep expertise in virtualization, converged infrastructure, and automation, along with a proactive problem-solving mindset and strong communication skills. The individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and efficiency across Launchpad's IT landscape.

Role involves:

• Designing, implementing, and managing Cisco UCS infrastructure.
• Administering and deploying VMware vSphere environments.
• Optimizing system performance, scalability, and security.
• Developing and maintaining automation scripts.
• Implementing infrastructure-as-code (IaC) principles.
• Working closely with networking, storage, and security teams.
• Assisting in the design and deployment of hybrid cloud solutions.
• Implementing and enforcing security best practices.
• Monitoring and remediating system vulnerabilities.
• Diagnosing and resolving complex hardware, software, and networking issues.
• Participating in an on-call rotation.
• Developing and maintaining comprehensive system documentation.
• Staying ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 5+ years of experience in systems engineering with a strong focus on Cisco UCS and VMware vSphere.
• Expert-level knowledge of Cisco UCS architecture, configuration, and management.
• Deep understanding of VMware vSphere, including vCenter Server, ESXi, vSAN, and vMotion.
• Strong scripting skills (PowerCLI, Python, Bash) for automation and infrastructure management.
• Solid networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, and switching.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience collaborating across teams.
• Self-motivated with a high degree of autonomy and accountability.
• Advanced english level
