Launchpad is seeking a Search Engine Engineer to join their team. The Search Engine Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing search engine algorithms and indexing strategies. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business and user requirements, develop and maintain search engine infrastructure for optimal performance.Role involves:
- Designing and implementing search engine algorithms and indexing strategies.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business and user requirements.
- Developing and maintaining search engine infrastructure for optimal performance.
- Implementing and optimizing relevance and ranking algorithms for search results.
- Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to search engine functionality.
- Analyzing user behavior and search patterns to improve search engine performance.
- Providing technical support and training to development teams.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Retrieval, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Search Engine Engineer or in a similar role.
- Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or C++.
- In-depth knowledge of search engine algorithms and data structures.
- Familiarity with information retrieval concepts and techniques.
- Experience with search engine technologies (e.g., Elasticsearch, Solr).
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
