Yondr, a hyperscale data center developer, owner, operator, and service provider, is seeking a Lead Electrical Engineer. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in designing, building, and operating power supplies, fire protection, intrusion protection, and access control systems within a live data center environment.

The Lead Electrical Engineer will manage electrical work packages across multiple projects, ensuring the quality and flow of information for contractors, vendors, and regulatory authorities. He will play a crucial role in maintaining vendor relationships, preparing tender evaluations, and overseeing factory acceptance tests and site testing and commissioning activities.

This role requires strong communication skills to keep internal directors and external stakeholders informed about project statuses. He will also monitor the maintenance program of electrical assets, coordinate with other disciplines, and respond to incidents, instructing FM teams effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver electrical work packages in multiple projects.
  • Identify project objectives and deliver comprehensive project documentation.
  • Write technical specifications and reports.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of project costs and risk assessments.
  • Develop and maintain vendor relationships.
  • Review contractor pre-qualifications and prepare tender evaluation summaries.
  • Evaluate proposals and recommendations for vendor selection.
  • Represent the Ownership on factory acceptance tests and site testing & commissioning activities
  • Communicate status of projects to internal directors and stakeholders.
  • Monitor the maintenance program and coordinate with other disciplines.
  • Lead initiatives to improve efficiency in workflows and daily activities.
  • Assist HSE in creating safety programs for electrical works.
  • Write Electrical Site rules in compliance with local legislation.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor degree in electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • At least 8 - 10 years relevant working experience in electrical design and / or installation
  • Good knowledge of industry standard practices in design and construction.
  • Good knowledge of standard practices in commissioning and testing of electrical equipment.
  • Good understanding of the daily (operational) business of critical environments.
  • An entrepreneurial, proactive and flexible attitude.
  • Result oriented and have a proactive problem solving attitude.
  • Excellent communication skills towards colleagues and clients.
  • Fluent in various office software packages and program languages.
