Structural Engineer

Job Description

ENERCON is seeking a Structural Engineer for their New York office. This role involves contributing to a multi-disciplinary engineering and environmental services firm focused on efficiency and sustainability. The engineer will play a crucial part in the Nuclear Service Group, working on diverse projects and collaborating with other engineering disciplines.Responsibilities include:

• Coordinating with other engineering disciplines.
• Reviewing designs and drawings.
• Preparing design studies and engineering estimates.
• Managing budget, scope, and schedule.
• Preparing procurement and installation specifications.
• Traveling for field installation and start-up.
• Directing technical work performed by others.

Requirements:

• B.S. in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 6 years of power system design experience in the Nuclear Industry.
• Proficiency in structural calculations.
• Knowledge of computer analysis codes.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel.
• Familiarity with the International Building Code.
• Good communication skills.
• Familiarity with concrete and steel design codes.
