Job Description

SHED is seeking a Director of Diversity and Inclusion to strategically align, build the roadmap, and scale the company's DE&I efforts. The Director will impact both internal teams and customer communities through SHED’s external community events. The role reports to the VP of People.

The Director will define and execute a cohesive DE&I strategy, partner with internal teams as a DE&I SME and consultant, integrate a DE&I lens into processes, and enable internal communities by building infrastructure.

What this role involves:

  • Define and execute DE&I strategy and roadmap.
  • Partner with internal teams as DE&I SME.
  • Build/expand DE&I efforts.
  • Enable internal communities.
  • Broadcast industry best-practices.
  • Be an external-facing leadership presence.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of People/HR experience.
  • 2-3+ years experience in community-building and/or DE&I.
  • Track record in enabling DE&I efforts.
  • Experience translating data to drive organizational transformation.
  • Experience working with recruiting teams and senior executives.
  • HR Business Partner experience (preferred).
  • Experience in 1,000+ person companies or high-growth environments (preferred).
