Job Description
Tatte is seeking a dedicated Sous Chef to assist in overseeing all kitchen operations at their Hingham, MA café. The Sous Chef will be responsible for the success and growth of their kitchen team, supervising up to 25 employees, including Zone Leaders, Cooks, Prep Cooks, and Dishwashers. The role requires engaging, inspiring, and leading a strong team, with a passion for amazing food made from scratch and genuine hospitality. In the absence of the Head Chef the Sous Chef is responsible for overall kitchen execution in a fast paced, high volume environment.

Responsibilities include:
  • Overseeing production and service according to established guidelines.
  • Adhering to recipe, portioning, and presentation standards.
  • Completing all daily management tasks in a timely manner.
  • Coaching kitchen staff in food preparation, safe handling, and operation of equipment.
  • Maintaining inventory and assisting with seasonal menu changes.

Requirements include:
  • Minimum of three years of culinary/kitchen management experience in a high-volume foodservice operation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of food and proven passion for culinary excellence.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
  • High School education or equivalent.
