Supply Chain Manager, Raw Materials

Job Description

Tesla is seeking a skilled and motivated Supply Chain Manager to join its direct procurement team and support manufacturing operations through the direct sourcing of raw materials. This role reports to the Supply Chain Group Manager and may support various Engineering groups within Tesla.

What the role involves:

• Owning RFQs and contract management, ensuring necessary agreements are negotiated and documented.
• Driving raw material price negotiations to meet best-in-class expectations and cost reduction initiatives.
• Managing all aspects of category management including business plans and sourcing strategies.
• Managing supplier relationships and performance, including dispute resolution and business reviews.
• Leading cross-functional teams to manage project timelines and ensure on-time delivery of supplier materials.
• Building and maintaining relationships with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate should possess:

• A degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Engineering, Chemistry, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in supply chain management, commodity management, or a related environment.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
