Job Description

Example Home Center is seeking a skilled and customer-focused CDL Delivery Driver. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering and picking up merchandise at customer locations, ensuring excellent service, and maintaining compliance with safety regulations. This role involves:

• Delivering and picking up merchandise.
• Verifying truck load against shipping documents.
• Checking truck equipment and supplies.
• Unloading product.
• Maintaining DOT documentation.
• Assisting customers in the lumberyard.
• Operating forklift.
• Maintaining the appearance of the lumberyard and warehouses.
• Assisting customers inside the store.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Valid Class A driver’s license (CDL) with a safe driving record.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Physical ability to load and unload trailers.
• Prior knowledge of building products and basic construction experience.
• Ability to become certified to drive forklifts and other vehicles.
• Computer skills and ability to learn the POS system.
• Ability to thrive in a team environment.
