Job Description
Example corp is seeking a Project Manager for its Reporting and Visualization team. This role involves gathering requirements, sourcing data, and delivering reports and visualizations to stakeholders across the global Discovery organization. The Project Manager will collaborate with various functional groups to design relevant reports and dashboards, continually improving Business Intelligence.
Responsibilities include:
  • Leading discussions throughout all phases of the Business Intelligence design lifecycle.
  • Planning, managing, and maintaining control over key project milestones, metrics, and effectiveness.
  • Ensuring objectives and scope are clearly defined and understood by stakeholders and the Analytics team.
  • Effectively managing internal communications in both verbal and written forms.
  • Collaborating with other BI leads to coordinate tools and methods.
  • Ensuring appropriate access and training are supplied to relevant end users.
  • Running project post mortem analysis to capture improvement ideas.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, or similar.
  • 2+ years of experience in BI analytics project management and leading teams.
  • Ability to define, shape, and drive projects to completion.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Understanding of design principles and aesthetics of business dashboards and reports.
  • Basic data modelling and database design understanding, including experience in SQL server and DataStage development.
  • Experience with BI visualization tools like Tableau or PowerBI.
  • Understanding and experience with big data technologies and platforms.
