Job Description

AgWest Farm Credit is seeking a Loan Officer to develop and manage a portfolio of loans for agricultural producers and rural customers. The Loan Officer will play a vital role in fostering relationships with clients, evaluating creditworthiness, and structuring financial packages.AgWest Farm Credit is a cooperative lender dedicated to supporting agriculture and rural communities with financial solutions tailored to their needs. They offer reliable credit and financial services to farmers, ranchers, agribusinesses, and rural homeowners across the Northwest and beyond.Responsibilities:

• Developing and maintaining strong customer relationships.
• Analyzing financial statements and credit history.
• Structuring and underwriting loan packages.
• Monitoring existing loans for risk and compliance.
• Collaborating with internal teams to deliver financial solutions.
• Identifying new business opportunities.
• Ensuring accurate documentation and compliance.
• Maintaining knowledge of agricultural industries and market conditions.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in lending, banking, or agriculture-related financial services.
• Strong knowledge of agricultural operations and rural business dynamics.
• Excellent financial analysis and decision-making skills.
• High level of integrity and relationship-building ability.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and loan origination systems.
• Willingness to travel within the assigned region.
