Job Description
Stone Tech is seeking a Staff Software Engineer - Node.js to join their GenAI team. The role involves working in cross-functional teams, defining, implementing, and maintaining functionalities that support the company's generative AI platform, chatbots, and integration with internal services. The Staff Software Engineer will collaborate with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, Designers, Data Scientists, and developers to explore business opportunities using GenAI, define and implement standards, maintain and raise engineering standards, and mentor colleagues.
The successful candidate will contribute to creating new solutions and evolving existing ones, delivering APIs, content managers, and solutions to ensure the entry of AI models into production with the best engineering practices, focusing on quality and scalability. Stone Tech utilizes an agile model with connected discovery and delivery, promoting dynamism in activities and a constant pursuit of results through experiments and short validation cycles.
Responsibilities:
- Be a technical leader for one or more products or an area, comprising multiple teams.
- Have experience in relevant development projects, designing and maintaining software (APIs, AI models or messaging).
- Solve business problems using technology.
- Tackle challenges related to decoupling/monoliths/microservices.
- Address performance, observability, and incident-related issues.
- Apply excellent software engineering practices.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Typescript/Node.js and/or Python.
- Experience with CI/CD deployment routines.
- Experience in provisioning and supporting services on AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud platforms.
- Familiarity with agile teams/practices (Kanban, Scrum, XP).
