Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Job Description

Simplify360, a Nextiva company, is seeking a Senior Site Reliability Engineer to enhance and support their SaaS platform. The ideal candidate will possess a broad knowledge of technology domains, bridging the gap between web development and system administration. The role involves working on diverse technologies and challenging projects.

Responsibilities include:

• Triage, troubleshoot, and fix production problems across the stack.
• Design, develop, and improve logging, monitoring, and alerting systems.
• Automate manual tasks and improve system reliability.
• Write software to enhance recoverability of production systems.
• Perform and automate system administration tasks.
• Participate in on-call rotation.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Drive large projects from a technical standpoint.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of software development experience.
• 6+ years of Linux system administration experience.
• 6+ years of performance engineering experience.
• Strong understanding of SRE concepts and DevOps principles.
• Experience with microservice environments, containerization, and container orchestration.
• Experience troubleshooting complex systems and with application performance monitoring.
• Familiarity with relational databases, SQL, and front-end technologies.
• Strong communication skills.
