AI Security and Compliance Engineer

Job Description

Simplify360, a Nextiva company, is seeking an AI Security and Compliance Engineer to ensure secure and compliant AI development throughout the product lifecycle. This role involves working with development and compliance teams to implement security controls and guidelines for data classification and access. The engineer will also perform audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to support the mitigation of findings.

Responsibilities Include:

• Ensuring AI products have security and privacy by design.
• Establishing policies for data classification and training data.
• Monitoring AI systems and development processes for compliance.
• Responding to security incidents involving AI systems.
• Enhancing the resilience of AI systems against potential threats.
• Establishing policies for access controls and limitations on AI inputs and APIs.
• Maintaining threat models for software projects.
• Providing AI security training for internal development teams.
• Maintaining knowledge of AI risks and testing tools.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field with 2-5 years of experience.
• Desired certifications: CISSP, CISM, SSCP, CCSP, or CompTIA Security+.
• Understanding of Application Security and Data Security for applications and AI.
• Proficiency in AI technologies and models such as Llama and ChatGPT.
• Experience with web application and API security, particularly with AI applications.
• Knowledge of security implications related to networks, servers, operating systems, and databases.
• Experience with vulnerability management and security frameworks like ISO 27001 and NIST.
• Flexibility to work off-hours and support 24x7 on-call incident response.
• Experience developing software, scripting, and using SQL queries for automation.
