Proton is seeking a Senior Android Engineer to join its Payments team. This role is based in Barcelona, London, or Paris. The Payments team is crucial for enabling revenue generation across Proton's ecosystem by introducing new payment methods and architecting client libraries. The team collaborates with various internal teams to ensure plans, promotions, and pricing meet user expectations. In this role, the Senior Android Engineer will be responsible for building a highly secure and reliable Android app for millions of users worldwide. They will also have opportunities to play Product or Project Manager roles, leading the entire development and testing process.

Responsibilities include:

  • Building payment solutions as the primary Senior Android Engineer.
  • Leading the development and testing process.

Requirements:

  • Deep experience with Kotlin.
  • Deep understanding of advanced Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices.
  • Experience designing and integrating with RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with various third-party libraries and SDKs.
  • Experience with secure coding practices.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with teammates in other continents.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
