Proton is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead a team focused on improving the Mail and Calendar iOS applications. The role involves building and leading a high-performance team, driving engineering best practices, and fostering strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders.

The Senior Engineering Manager will report to the Director of Engineering and work in partnership with managers and leads across the organization. The ideal candidate will be ambitious, eager, and experienced in building high-performance mobile teams and developing talent at scale.

What this role involves:

  • Building and leading a team of 10 engineers.
  • Coaching team members and peers to develop future engineering leaders.
  • Driving the adoption of engineering best practices.
  • Streamlining the delivery of concurrent work streams.
  • Creating career development plans for team members.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in a management and leadership role in mobile.
  • Strong background in architecting and developing mobile applications (iOS, Android).
  • Experience in building complex native projects.
  • Familiarity with Mail/Calendar products, standards, and technology.
