Proton is seeking a Senior Front End Engineer to join its Inbox team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing Proton's Mail and Calendar services, focusing on creating seamless user experiences from complex technical requirements. This role requires effective teamwork and collaboration with Product, Design, and API teams, along with data-driven decision-making.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing, deploying, and supporting high-quality user experiences within Proton's product portfolio.
  • Transforming product specifications into technical requirements.
  • Enhancing Proton's software development lifecycle and code structure.
  • Writing clear, concise, and testable code.
  • Managing the scoping, planning, and execution of new features and projects.
  • Fostering a culture of learning and accountability through mentorship and team development.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in professional software development using JavaScript ES6+ or TypeScript.
  • Experience with React or similar frameworks.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD and code quality best practices.
  • Ability to make architectural decisions and contribute to strategic planning.
  • Experience working in a distributed team.
