Senior iOS Engineer (VPN) at Proton

Proton is seeking a Senior iOS Engineer to join their VPN team. This role involves building a better internet where privacy is the default. The ideal candidate will work as part of an iOS team building features in all of Proton's products, impacting millions of users. The role requires close interactions with product and engineers across the company.

Proton provides free and open-source technology to ensure access to privacy, security, and freedom online. Proton began with Proton Mail, and has since expanded to include Proton VPN, Proton Calendar, Proton Drive, and Proton Pass.

Role Involves:

• Developing ProtonVPN’s Apple clients, on the iOS, macOS and tvOS platforms.
• Maintaining and extend network extensions with new functionality.
• Develop UI that seamlessly engages a wide range of users.
• Investing in tooling that reflects the state of the art in building and testing software.
• Working with fellow developers to deliver large software projects.

Requirements:

• Experience in macOS Swift development
• Strong experience in software development
• Experience with creating macOS system extensions
• Experience with iOS app development
• Knowledge of macOS network stack and operations
• Knowledge of Git or other source control
• Knowledge of security best practices for desktop and mobile development on Apple platforms
