Job Description
Talkdesk is seeking a Director of GTM Finance to support its Customer Journey strategy. This role involves partnering with the Customer Journey leadership team, working cross-functionally within the company, and collaborating with senior management to build annual budgets, manage forecasts, and provide decision support through financial analyses. The Director will guide financial and operational matters across the organization and report directly to the VP of Finance.
The Director of GTM Finance will be responsible for:
- Providing strategic guidance to Customer Journey team leaders and executives
- Partnering with the Sales Operation team to develop and monitor key performance indicators
- Anticipating risks and opportunities relative to the strategic plan
- Translating business strategies and objectives to financial outcomes
- Recruiting, mentoring, and coaching the finance team
- Developing monthly spend forecasts and driving the budget planning process
- Preparing monthly and quarterly management reporting
- Supporting executive management with timely ad hoc reporting
- Establishing trust and building relationships with business partners
To qualify for this role, candidates should possess:
- 8+ years of relevant finance experience preferred; SaaS experience strongly preferred
- Strong financial and operational planning skills
- Ability to influence at all levels of an organization
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Expertise in building Excel-based financial models
- Ability to multi-task effectively
- Four-year university degree in finance, economics or accounting
- Experience with financial systems- NetSuite, Zuora, Salesforce, Adaptive insights, etc.
