Talkdesk is seeking a Developer Team Lead to manage and mentor a team of 4 software engineers in Porto. The Developer Team Lead will design frameworks and processes to manage team workload, ensuring transparency and alignment with business goals. The candidate will advocate for their team and foster collaboration across departments, including Product, Engineering, Services and Sales, to improve offerings and customer experience. They will also recruit, hire, and onboard top talent while fostering a high-performance culture.

Role involves:

  • Leading, mentoring, and developing a team of 4 software engineers.
  • Designing frameworks and processes to manage team workload.
  • Advocating for team and fostering collaboration across departments.
  • Recruiting, hiring, and onboarding top talent.
  • Building dashboards and reports to provide visibility into key performance indicators.
  • Participating in the design, development, and deployment of software solutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 4 years of hands-on experience in software development with proficiency in JavaScript and Node.js.
  • Experience with front-end development (React preferred) and expertise in AWS as the primary cloud platform.
  • Strong understanding of software design principles, API development, and cloud-based service architectures.
  • Proven experience working within agile development methodologies.
  • At least 5+ years of experience managing and mentoring technical teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to navigate complex challenges with professionalism.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
