Reg SHO Compliance Officer

Job Description

Clear Street is seeking a Reg SHO Compliance Officer to maintain the highest standards of integrity and compliance within its trading operations. The Reg SHO Specialist will report to the Head of Custody Operations and the Chief Compliance Officer, focusing on managing and enhancing the compliance framework for Rules 203 and 204 under Reg SHO.Responsibilities include:

• Maintaining, administering, and enhancing compliance policies and procedures related to Reg SHO, particularly Rule 204.
• Monitoring and analyzing Reg SHO obligations and aging reports to identify and resolve issues.
• Working closely with stock loan desk and trading personnel to address related questions.
• Preparing and submitting timely reports to internal stakeholders on Reg SHO compliance.
• Drafting responses to regulatory inquiries and escalating issues.
• Managing client notification and penalty box processes.
• Training and educating staff on Reg SHO compliance.
• Developing and managing relationships with outside counsel and regulators.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of experience in financial services across compliance or operations at a prime broker or clearing firm.
• At least 3 years of experience administering a Reg SHO compliance program.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a similar field.
• Experience interacting with FINRA and SEC regulators.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to develop and implement operational processes for Reg SHO compliance.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make timely decisions.
