Job Description
Clear Street is seeking a Lead Engineer, Developer Experience to join their Infrastructure Engineering team. This role involves leading the Developer Experience team and building best-in-class common services and tooling. The successful candidate will design, implement, and maintain services and tools to enhance engineering productivity and shape development workflows across Clear Street. They will also mentor other software engineers and contribute to the company's culture of engineering excellence.

Role involves:
  • Taking ownership of infrastructure and designing scalable deployment solutions.
  • Managing a team of engineers while remaining hands-on.
  • Building developer toolchain integrations using Go, gRPC, PostGres, and Redis.
  • Designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Implementing tools to harden the CI/CD pipeline on GitHub.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Go.
  • Experience with Linux, containerization technologies, and cloud platforms.
  • Experience with Git principles.
  • Excellent communication skills.
