Job Description

Pathward is seeking a Network Engineer II to join their team. This is a remote position, but Pathward has onsite locations in Sioux Falls, SD, Scottsdale, AZ, Louisville, KY, Troy, MI, Franklin, TN, and Easton, PA. The Network Engineer II will be responsible for advanced problem resolution of LAN, WAN, Security, network and availability redundancy. The role involves maintenance and repair of equipment and products, new hire training/mentoring, and providing expert technical recommendations based on business needs. The engineer will also prepare technical reports, test new technologies, and create thorough documentation.

Responsibilities:

  • Configures and maintains the corporate enterprise network environment.
  • Performs analysis, diagnostics, and resolution of complex network and voice problems.
  • Monitors the reliability of the network across multiple platforms.
  • Participates in the rotating "on call" schedule.
  • Performs root cause analysis for network outages.
  • Provides primary and secondary support for key network and infrastructure applications.
  • Assists in designing, configuring, and implementing major network systems.
  • Conducts research and evaluates new industry hardware and software.
  • Maintains system documentation and departmental procedures.
  • Performs user ID creation, ID removal and ID maintenance.
  • Manages the day-to-day operation and troubleshooting of the enterprise data communications networks.
  • Completes trouble tickets and provides customer feedback.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and work experience.
  • Typically 3+ years with bachelor's or equivalent.
