Managing Director, Business Development (Asset-Based Lending / Southeast area)

Job Description

Pathward is seeking a Managing Director for Business Development to focus on asset-based lending in the Southeast area. This is a remote position, although Pathward has office locations in several states. The ideal candidate will be responsible for prospecting, qualifying, and closing new accounts, focusing on hunting and selling to new customers, and building strong relationships within their territory.Role involves:

• Acquiring and cultivating new business opportunities.
• Presenting and explaining financial products to prospective clients.
• Meeting or exceeding volume, margin, fee, and cross-sell targets.
• Maintaining a network of referral sources.
• Obtaining required application and financial information from borrowers.
• Staying up to date on competitors and competitive products.
• Contributing to the company’s overall production and portfolio performance.
• Creating and managing a sales pipeline.
• Negotiating and maximizing profitability on new business.
• Partnering with other departments to maximize customer growth and retention.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in commercial finance.
• Detail-oriented and customer service-minded.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proven record of success in solutions-based sales.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
