Technical Lead / Founding Engineer

Job Description

Gigster is seeking a Technical Lead/Founding Engineer to partner with an early-stage startup in the hedge fund space. The company is developing a product that extracts critical trading insights from research PDFs using AI and delivers them via a dashboard. This role is a 3-month contract based in Europe.

The Technical Lead will own the product's technical architecture, ensure compliance with ISO/GDPR and security best practices, and collaborate with a full-stack developer, UX designer, and DevOps engineer. They will also be responsible for setting up the architecture and tooling from scratch.

What this role involves:

• Owning the product’s technical architecture and direction
• Ensuring compliance with ISO/GDPR and security best practices
• Working closely with the full-stack dev, UX designer, and DevOps engineer
• Helping ship a high-quality, high-trust MVP for a high-stakes market
• Setting up and owning the architecture and tooling decisions from scratch

Requirements:

• Experience building and scaling AI-driven products or platforms with a focus on security and efficiency
• Proven ability to scale early-stage technical projects with users in mind
• Strong understanding of data privacy, compliance, and security
• Startup mindset — pragmatic, fast-moving, collaborative
