Job Description
Gigster is seeking SRE Support Engineers to join its Talent Network for upcoming projects with a major client. These roles involve supporting clients' internal IaaS, from onboarding to creating support platform content. The roles require active participation in developing support tools and processes.
Responsibilities:
- Work cross-functionally to address customer questions and resolve incidents.
- Troubleshoot container orchestration issues in Docker and Kubernetes.
- Resolve complex application deployment issues.
- Analyze customer interaction trends and provide feedback to Engineering and SRE.
- Build knowledge base articles and participate in post-mortem reviews.
- Contribute to the client’s objectives and goals, working on complex issues.
Requirements:
- Robust level of spoken and written English.
- 5+ years of experience supporting scalable applications and web services.
- Experience with AWS (mandatory), Google Cloud (nice to have).
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Docker (mandatory).
- Basic knowledge of Spark and Kafka.
- Extensive experience deploying, managing, and scaling applications using Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Helm, Kustomize, or similar tools.
- Linux administration, scripting, and troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of network protocols, DNS, and load balancing.
- Comfortable working with a technical customer base and providing a wide range of support.
- Strong familiarity with modern server technologies and architectures.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
- Attention to detail and passion for Technical Support.
- Ability to work as an independent contractor for a US company.
Nice to have:
- Experience with observability and logging tools.
- Hands-on experience with Relational Database Management Systems.
- Relevant certifications (CKA, CKAD, LPIC).
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
