Staff SRE (Site Reliability Engineer)

Job Description

Gigster is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join its Talent Network. As a member of the Gigster Network, the Staff SRE will have the chance to become part of amazing teams and will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of critical systems and services for Gigster's clients. This role involves shaping infrastructure and driving initiatives to improve overall service quality.

The Staff SRE role involves:

• Designing, building, and maintaining scalable and reliable infrastructure.
• Implementing and maintaining monitoring and alerting systems.
• Leading incident response efforts and conducting post-incident reviews.
• Automating repetitive tasks and processes to improve efficiency.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products and services.

Requirements for this position include:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 8+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, SRE, or Platform Engineer.
• 3+ years of experience as a Platform Engineer or SRE.
• Deep understanding of Linux/Unix systems and networking.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Go, Java).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).
