Job Description
Re-Leased is seeking a General Legal Counsel to be at the center of its legal operations for the global business. This role involves providing strategic legal guidance across the organization, supporting the leadership team and Board of Directors, and ensuring compliance with international regulations. The General Legal Counsel will cover a broad and dynamic range of responsibilities across legal operations, governance, data and security, and risk management.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee legal operations, policy development, and document management.
  • Provide legal advice to the Executive Team and Board.
  • Manage board administration and shareholder resolutions.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, including SaaS agreements and NDAs.
  • Support sales contracts and ensure alignment with global standards.
  • Partner with IT and security teams on data and cybersecurity initiatives.
  • Advise on employee disputes and ensure compliance with employment laws.
  • Mitigate potential litigation across global operations.
  • Protect and manage the company's IP portfolio.

Requirements:
  • Licensed to practice law in New Zealand, Australia, the UK, or the US.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a legal role, ideally in SaaS or technology.
  • Experience in commercial law, contract management, data privacy, and corporate governance.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to manage complex legal issues.
  • A practical, business-minded approach to legal solutions.
