Job Description
Verkada is seeking a Senior/Staff Software Engineer to join their Business Systems Engineering team. This role focuses on building and improving tools used by Go to Market teams, identifying bottlenecks, driving process improvements, and creating technical solutions. The engineer will be a custodian of data used by sales, order, finance, and support teams, emphasizing automation, metrics, and proactive solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement technical solutions spanning AWS, Salesforce, and NetSuite.
- Improve systems observability and data reliability.
- Develop customer empathy to propose system improvements.
- Lead projects from ideation to release.
- Mentor junior engineers.
Requirements:
- 8+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on distributed systems at scale.
- Experience shipping customer-facing products or internal tools.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced startup environment.
- Passion for observability and reliability.
- In-depth expertise in distributed systems and data processing.
- AWS Cloud experience (Kubernetes, Fargate, Lambda, Airflow, Athena, DynamoDB, VPC, EC2).
