Senior Software Engineer at SciLeads

SciLeads is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to contribute to the development and deployment of their platform. The Senior Software Engineer will report to the VP of Engineering. The role is fully remote and requires the candidate to be based in the United Kingdom.

Responsibilities:

• Ownership of the full software development life cycle.
• Work with cloud base architecture focusing on scalability and performance.
• Manage and wrangle a database with over one billion records, ensuring efficient data handling and aggregation.
• Address data challenges by implementing robust data engineering practices.
• Project management.
• Code quality reviews and team collaboration.
• Maintain a strong focus on customer needs and be relentless about delivering value.

Requirements:

• At least 5 years of post-education experience in C# and .NET software development.
• Proficiency in handling large-scale datasets using appropriate languages, frameworks, tools, work flows and patterns.
• Proven track record of designing, refining, managing, leading, and delivering at least three complex technical projects from inception to completion.
• Demonstrated ability to solve complex data challenges and significantly improve data handling processes.
• Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders, provide project updates and technical insights on complex projects.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills. Comfortable prioritizing work across multiple concurrent projects.
• Experience mentoring intermediate engineers and leading on complex technical projects.
• Expertise in scalable system design and architecture.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a fully remote team and awareness of how your behaviour impacts those around you.
• Commitment to continuous learning and growth.
• Must be based in the United Kingdom.
