Technical Analyst (SQL, HL7)

Job Description

Altera, a member of the N. Harris Computer Corporation family, is seeking a Technical Analyst to contribute to their health IT solutions. The Technical Analyst will be responsible for data conversion and interface development, providing technical support, and assisting with the implementation of Altera solutions. This role requires strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a deep understanding of healthcare standards.Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate proficiency with Interface or data conversion development and implementation tools.
• Negotiate Interface or data conversion specifications and plans with customers/vendors.
• Install software and interface definitions on customer’s servers.
• Create test plan templates and test with customer/vendor.
• Provide interface and related workflow solutions.
• Develop, deploy, and test configuration release packages.
• Assist customers with parameterization and configuration.
• Provide technical assistance to other departments.
• Provide 3rd level interface support.
• Provide technical support during the implementation delivery process.
• Advise clients on testing strategy and planning.
• Install all software required for Altera solutions.
• Carry out the implementation of Altera solutions and designated 3rd party products.
• Develop technical documentation.
• Train Customers and Altera Staff.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant technical field.
• 1-2 or more years of related experience.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must be willing to work from the office.
• Excellent technical capabilities in understanding, configuring, and troubleshooting complex systems.
• Creative thinker with a problem-solving approach.
• Strong analytical abilities.
• Data Modeling skills.
• Ability to write SQL queries and understand complex database structures.
• Knowledge of code/scripting languages.
• Deep understanding of HL7, CCDAs, and/or XML.
• Familiarity with clinical terminology standards such as SNOMED, LOINC, ICD, etc.
