Sr Software Engineer(Cache, Mumps)

Job Description

Altera, a member of the N. Harris Computer Corporation family, is seeking a Sr Software Engineer to contribute to the design and development of health IT solutions.

The Software Engineer will be involved in designing and developing solutions using the InterSystems technology stack, primarily Ensemble (aka InterSystems IRIS for Health) and InterSystems HealthShare. The candidate will attend scrum meetings and other meetings as defined by the manager, working with business stakeholders for requirement gathering.

The role involves:

• Designing and developing solutions using InterSystems stack of technologies.
• Attending scrum meetings and any other meetings defined by the manager.
• Working with business stakeholders for requirement gathering.
• Identifying and articulating design methodology and best practices.
• Developing end-to-end solutions, participating in code-reviews, unit testing, and deployment.
• Documenting technical design and functionality.
• Providing support during testing and participating in go-live meetings.
• Providing afterhours On-call support [rotational calendar].
• Learning, designing, and developing solutions using InterSystems HealthShare.

Requirements include:

• 5+ years’ experience as a Software Engineer, preferred in the Healthcare setting.
• 3+ years’ experience with Ensemble with custom components development, HL7 interfaces (FTP, File, TCP), SQL Adapter, Custom DTLs.
• 3+ years’ experience with Cache Objects and Cache Object Script.
• 3+ years’ design and development experience with REST/SOAP API development.
• 3+ years’ experience with scalable and secure cloud solution design and development using best practices.
• 1+ years’ experience with XML/XSLT.
• 2+ years’ experience with HL7v2.
• 1+ years’ experience with CCD/CDA.
