Altera, a member of the N. Harris Computer Corporation family, is seeking an Associate Technical Support Consultant to provide software application support to hospital IT staff via remote administration technologies. The consultant will interact with international customers to troubleshoot and resolve complex software problems, track and document inbound requests, and educate clients on application functionality. They will also explain software errors and convey feedback to product development staff.

This role at Altera Health requires participation in after-hours and on-call support, as well as the ability to work independently in a challenging environment.

Role Involves:

• Providing software application support to hospital IT staff via remote administration technologies.
• Interacting with international customers to troubleshoot and resolve complex software problems.
• Tracking and documenting inbound requests and ensuring proper case documentation.
• Educating clients on application functionality.
• Explaining software errors and conveying feedback to product development staff.
• Participating in after-hours and on-call support on weekends.

Requirements:

• Strong analytical, research, and trouble-shooting skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Exposure to interaction with international clients.
• Understanding of the impact of issues in relation to patient safety.
• Organized and attention to detail.
• Self-driven and a fast learner.
• 2-3 years of experience in functional or technical troubleshooting in a client-facing role.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science/IT, or health care-related field.
• Basic understanding of SQL and Windows Server concepts (IIS).
• Able and willing to work in 24*7 shifts, on call rotations for evenings/weekends/holidays
