Dunamu is seeking a Backend Engineer to join their team in Seoul, South Korea, to work on the Upbit exchange. The Backend Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing key backend systems for the Upbit service, focusing on the processing of transactions involving both fiat currency and digital assets. This role involves ensuring the speed and integrity of transaction processing through meticulous structural design. The candidate will also refactor existing legacy code and transition to new languages or frameworks to enhance performance and functionality.

The Backend Engineer will handle various operational tasks, infrastructure management, monitoring, and incident response for the digital asset exchange.

Role involves:

• Designing and implementing key backend systems related to cryptocurrency exchange
• Handling of digital asset transactions
• Refactoring legacy code
• Managing infrastructure and monitoring

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience designing, developing, and operating services using backend frameworks
• Experience developing services using scripting languages like Ruby or Python
• Experience designing and operating services using a microservices architecture
• Expert-level understanding of infrastructure layers (OS, database, network, etc.)
• Ability to anticipate internal and external security threats to the system following a zero-trust model
