Job Description

Razor Group is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to join their Tax Department. The company is Europe's fastest-growing unicorn, revolutionizing eCommerce globally through strategic acquisitions, scaling initiatives, and cutting-edge technology. With the recent acquisition of Perch and a successful Series D funding round, Razor Group is aiming for a $1 billion top-line business.

The Senior Tax Manager will be responsible for overseeing direct tax compliance in Germany, with a focus on corporate income tax and trade tax.

Role Involves:

• Preparing corporate income tax returns, trade tax returns, and other essential tax filings for German entities.
• Reviewing tax assessment notices issued by tax authorities.
• Providing expert tax advisory support to German business units.
• Collaborating with the accounting team on tax provisions, deferred taxes, tax disclosures, tax account reconciliations, and other financial reporting tasks.
• Reviewing contracts from a tax perspective and preparing intercompany agreements.
• Acting as a point of contact with tax authorities during audits.

Requirements:

• A university degree in taxation, accounting, finance, economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in handling German direct tax compliance.
• Solid understanding of accounting standards (IFRS, HGB).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, as well as familiarity with NetSuite, financial ERP systems, or other analytical tools.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey complex topics clearly and effectively to management.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in both German and English at a professional level.
