Frontend Engineer - Search & Computer Vision

Job Description

Verkada is seeking a Frontend Engineer to join their team and contribute to the development of their visual search experience. The engineer will be responsible for building the front end for the visual search experience and enabling the web UI to process computer vision data. They will lead projects from design to implementation and optimize encoding decoding functionality for 4K video.Verkada is a leader in cloud-based B2B physical security, offering six product lines integrated with a single cloud-based software platform.Responsibilities:

• Build front end for visual search experience
• Enable the web UI to process computer vision data
• Lead whole projects from design to implementation
• Optimize encoding decoding functionality for 4K video
• Work cross-functionally to continuously deliver products

Requirements:

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Internship experience developing and launching products
• Experience building reusable components and pixel-perfect UIs
• Proficient in JavaScript, including contexts, prototypes/classes, and closures
• Experience with a modern web framework such as Angular.js, React, or Vue
• Familiarity with REST APIs; ability to read Python server code is a plus
• Comfortable with SQL, Distributed Systems, Operating Systems, AWS, Docker, etc.
