Job Description

Centria Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Technician in Yorktown, Virginia, to work with neurodiverse children and their families. The Behavioral Health Technician will implement learning programs, collect data on target behaviors, communicate with stakeholders, maintain client confidentiality, and regularly meet with their direct leader. This role involves building trust and care with the child and their family in their home setting.

Role Involves:

  • Adapting teaching techniques to various physical and mental behaviors.
  • Partnering with a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized behavioral intervention plans.
  • Engaging actively with children using evidence-based techniques.
  • Providing one-on-one developmental and behavioral support.

Requirements:

  • A passion for helping children with autism.
  • Patience and compassion with the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • A high school diploma or GED and at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification and Tuberculosis test.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
  • A minimum of one year experience working with children ages 0-18 in a daycare, classroom setting preferred.
  • A minimum of one year experience working one-on-one with clients in a behavioral health environment preferred.
