Job Description

Centria Healthcare is seeking a Behavior Technician to help children with autism acquire skills to reach their full potential. The Behavior Technician will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst or Behavior Consultant (BCBA/BC) to implement behavior intervention plans. This role involves creating learning opportunities and documenting the progress of the child. Therapy will be conducted in the child’s home or at a Centria center.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing direct client care in 1:1 and group settings.
  • Following behavior protocols as outlined in the treatment plan.
  • Collecting and summarizing data on client behavior.
  • Assisting with parent and caregiver training.
  • Ensuring timely documentation following Centria procedures.
  • Communicating client progress with parents and caregivers.
  • Maintaining a safe and organized therapy environment.
  • Assisting BCBA/BC in preparing client materials and assessments.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Reliable transportation and in some cases, proof of driver’s license and valid car insurance.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification and TB test.
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs and run/move quickly.
  • Reliability and punctuality for scheduled therapy appointments.
  • Professional presentation and conduct.
  • Patience and emotional control.
  • Positive attitude and drive.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions.
  • Strong technology skills for data recording.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Cultural competency and flexibility.
