Pismo is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead its core banking squad in Brazil. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for providing complete banking as a service products through orchestrations with Pismo's core components and external payment providers. The ideal candidate will have experience leading a team and building processes, as well as strong technical skills.
What this role involves:
- Hiring and developing technical personnel through one-on-one sessions and regular feedback.
- Ensuring team engagement and challenging team members.
- Delegating work and assignments to team members.
- Collaborating with the team to identify and fix technical problems.
- Analyzing user needs and finding applications to serve them.
- Creating end goals for the team.
- Fostering a healthy culture within the team.
- Supervising system modifications and conducting risk analysis.
- Guiding the team through technical issues and challenges.
- Monitoring team service's OPS.
- Ensuring teamwork follows high-standard development processes.
- Managing the on-call team.
Requirements:
- B2 English proficiency.
- 5 years of experience leading a team and building processes.
- Experience with Golang (around 2 years).
- Hands-on experience with Relational DBs.
- High-output management skills.
- Understanding of distributed transactions and design patterns like Saga.
- Knowledge of SRE/DevOps concepts.
- Experience with AWS (SQS, SNS, Dynamo, S3, Event Bridge).
- Previous experience with large-scale/high-throughput services.
- Experience with tests (unit, integrated, load tests).
