Software Engineering Manager - Cameras

Job Description

Verkada is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a growing team focused on building cloud-managed security camera systems. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for building and managing user-facing applications within Verkada's camera product line, involving both frontend and backend engineers.

The ideal candidate will inspire their team to create polished user experiences, collaborate with product and design teams, and drive project execution. They will also work with other engineering leaders to define and execute goals and priorities.

Responsibilities:

• Building and managing user-facing applications for the camera product.
• Actively writing code and prototyping new features.
• Inspiring the team to create delightful user experiences.
• Collaborating with Product and Design teams.
• Driving project execution.
• Defining and executing on goals, priorities, and processes.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience managing engineering teams.
• 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
• Experience with both backend and frontend development.
• Experience in agile software development.
• Eye for design and product details.
• Knowledge of a server-side framework and database system.
• Degree in Computer Science or related field.
