Job Description
Vannevar Labs is seeking a Cleared Forward Deployed Engineer to join their team. This role involves being the field "CTO" for a Mission team, supporting national security efforts. The engineer will own the architecture, development, and deployment of software solutions for specific customer missions, working closely with engineers, product designers, and former military officers.
Role Involves:
- Engineering and owning software solutions deployed to customers.
- Building software to unlock value within large-scale data holdings.
- Writing code to improve products and scale capabilities.
- Collaborating across interdisciplinary teams to deliver complex software features.
- Traveling up to 20% of the time to meet with mission owners.
Requirements:
- 5+ years as a Full Stack Developer with experience in relational databases, caching technologies, object stores, and front-end frameworks (React).
- Experience developing and deploying software compliant with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF).
- Experience interfacing with government-owned IT systems.
- Experience working with government IT and program offices to scope technical requirements.
- Experience working with end users to scope mission requirements and conduct user testing.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Must hold an active U.S. TS Security clearance with SCI Eligibility.
