Crypto Production Engineer at Jump Crypto

Jump Trading Group is seeking a Crypto Production Engineer to join their global team. This role involves supporting Jump's diverse global trading infrastructure across traditional and crypto financial markets. The engineer will be responsible for managing low-level infrastructure to custom applications, using both internally developed and open-source software. The ideal candidate will be passionate about learning cutting-edge technologies and solving challenging technical problems.

Responsibilities:

• Build, manage, and maintain validator infrastructure and tooling.
• Take responsibility for a wide range of on-chain infrastructure, including validators, light clients, and RPC nodes.
• Improve monitoring and alerting systems for crypto infrastructure.
• Experiment with new blockchain technologies.
• Improve security properties of infrastructure.
• Contribute to external partnerships.
• Engage in public forums for community awareness.
• Work with a global, distributed team.

Requirements:

• Passion for blockchain technology.
• Willingness to work quickly in a fast-paced team.
• Experience managing proof-of-stake blockchain infrastructure.
• Deep understanding of software engineering principles, Linux, Kubernetes, and networking.
• Experience with orchestration and configuration management tools (Terraform, Ansible, Salt).
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining complex systems.
• Proficiency with bash scripting and experience in at least one other programming language (Python, Golang, or Rust).
• Reliable and predictable availability.
