Scalapay is seeking a Software Engineer to join their dynamic team in Milan. The candidate will be responsible to designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and efficient applications. The Software Engineer will play a key role in Scalapay success. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of development experience and a strong background in Node.js, TypeScript, and React.js.

Role involves:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining web applications using Node.js, TypeScript, and React.js.
  • Managing relational (e.g., MySQL) and non-relational (e.g., Dynamodb, Redis) databases.
  • Writing unit and integration tests.
  • Leveraging frameworks like NestJS and Next.js.
  • Participating in code reviews.
  • Collaborating in an Agile environment.
  • Optimising applications for speed and scalability.
  • Automating testing, building, and deployment processes using CI/CD tools.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of professional development experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Node.js, TypeScript, and React.js.
  • Extensive experience with relational and non-relational databases.
  • Proven experience in writing unit and integration tests.
  • Experience with frameworks like NestJS and Next.js.
  • Solid experience with Agile methodologies.
  • Proficient in using Git for version control.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
