Eventbrite is seeking a Data Analyst to join their Accounting Analytics team. This position is remote within Ireland. The Data Analyst will serve as an analytical partner to the Accounting organization, providing data support for business-critical processes.
Eventbrite's team of financial data experts supports Accounting through mission-critical monthly close processes. This high-impact team is responsible for high-priority reconciliation activities, ensuring data quality for monthly balances, and implementing and maintaining SOX and SOC controls.
Responsibilities:
- Drive investigations into data discrepancies and provide root cause analysis.
- Work cross-functionally with strategic and technical teams, supporting stakeholders in Accounting, Tax, and Internal Audit.
- Partner with Engineering, Data Platform, and Analytics Engineering to further improve our data.
- Take advantage of new technologies available in Eventbrite’s tech stack such as Snowflake and dbt.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and familiarity with standard programming and data processing packages
- Analytical, problem-solving mindset and proficiency working with large and complex data sets
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with team members and cross-functional product partners, including technical documentation
- Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools
