Principal Software Engineer at Eventbrite, Inc.

Eventbrite is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join its Core Marketplace Services group. The ideal candidate will embody Eventbrite's engineering culture of technical excellence and drive architectural changes as the platform is modernized. They will provide technical leadership across multiple teams, including Identity and Risk and Fraud, which support over 5 million events in nearly 180 countries.

The Role Involves:

• Driving Eventbrite’s transition from monolith to micro services.
• Educating, mentoring, and coaching other engineering teams.
• Collaborating with other Eventbrite engineering teams globally.
• Investigating new technologies and tools.
• Working closely with AWS.

Requirements:

• Understanding and application of computer science fundamentals.
• 15+ years of application development and design experience with modern languages.
• Advanced knowledge of complex software design, distributed system design, design patterns, data structures, and algorithms.
• Deep understanding of cloud providers such as AWS, and cloud architectures and design patterns.
• Track record of delivering successful solutions and collaborating with others.
• Enjoyment of teaching and mentoring others.
