Operations Manager at PsiBufet

Butternut Box, a rapidly growing B-Corp in the direct-to-consumer dog food industry, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager for its new manufacturing facility in Zabrze, Poland. The Operations Manager will be a key member of the site leadership team, reporting to the Site Director. This role involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the production facility, Sam’s Kitchen, and holding full site accountability on nights and weekends, including the fulfillment and warehouse facility. The Operations Manager will lead up to 10 team leaders per shift.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about continuous improvement, possess strong skills in development, and be capable of engaging teams through periods of high growth and change. They will play a crucial role in driving and communicating the vision for manufacturing, fulfillment, and warehouse operations, ensuring safety, continuous improvement, and excellence for customers.

Role Involves:

• Overseeing the daily operations of Sam's Kitchen and the fulfillment/warehouse facility.
• Leading, coaching, and supporting Team Leaders.
• Reporting daily and weekly KPIs, offering detailed insights into variances.
• Driving accountability and promoting safe working practices.
• Ensuring adherence to food safety standards and legislative requirements.
• Identifying training needs and enhancing team flexibility.
• Promoting a continuous improvement environment.

Requirements:

• Strong experience in FMCG, preferably in the food industry.
• Awareness of continuous improvement concepts and practices.
• Understanding of Health and Safety best practices.
• Supervisory experience in a high-speed volume manufacturing environment.
• Pragmatic, adaptable, resilient, and humble.
• Well-practiced planning, organization, and scheduling skills.
• Financial and budget control experience (ideal).
• Excellent interpersonal, creative thinking, and analytical skills.
• Results-driven and action-oriented with problem-solving skills.
