Butternut Box is seeking a Technical Manager, known as Quality Manager in Poland, for their new manufacturing site in Zabrze. This role is an exciting opportunity to join a high-growth manufacturing business on a greenfield site. The Technical Manager will be a key member of the site leadership team, reporting to the Site Director, and will lead the technical function for Butternut Box in Poland.

The Technical Manager will play a crucial role in establishing the manufacturing credentials of the new site. They will support the development of a great team to tackle day-to-day technical challenges, while also planning for future growth. This role involves close collaboration with the Head of Compliance in the UK to implement and tailor safety, legality, and quality processes for all Butternut Box/PsiBufet products, building upon existing processes from Rudie’s Kitchen in the UK.

Role involves:

  • Leading the technical function of Butternut Box in Poland.
  • Establishing manufacturing credentials for the new site.
  • Developing a team capable of handling daily technical challenges and future growth.
  • Implementing safety, legality, and quality processes with the Head of Compliance in the UK.
  • Identifying and developing Technical (Food Quality) KPI improvement initiatives.
  • Maintaining accreditations and customer standards for Sam’s Kitchen.
  • Developing strong internal collaboration between Production, Engineering, and Operations, and fostering external relationships with Customers and Suppliers.
  • Providing strategic technical support to sites for achieving long-term goals.
  • Supporting a high-performing environment with a strong focus on food safety, quality, and compliance.

  • Financial and budget control experience (ideally).
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with creative thinking and analytical abilities.
  • Results-driven and action-oriented with problem-solving skills.
